A disturbed young man (Bruce Boxleitner) who had tried out for the Houston Astros baseball team and been rejected, plots to take his revenge by a series of kidnappings during the World Series. Janet Leigh & Murray Hamilton lead an all star cast in this "movie of the week" which included Lynda Day George, Karen Valentine, Gerald S. O'Loughlin, and Michael Parks. Murder at the World Series premiered on March 20th, 1977.
