Lt. Roy Kessler (Gerald Gordon) heads a police undercover unit composed entirely of ex-cons, chosen for their particular skills. Together they investigate the vicious syndicate beating of a star basketball player who refused to "throw" a game in favor of the mob while the player's father plots to take vengance if he catches his son's attackers first.
