Summer of Secrets is an Australian psychological gothic sci-fi thriller directed by Jim Sharman (who also directed The Rocky Horror Picture Show). A young couple, Steve and Kym, sail to an isolated beach island where Steve spent his childhood. They explore an abandoned shack, unaware they are being watched by a reclusive, deranged brain surgeon named Dr. Beverley Adams and his assistant, Bob. The doctor is obsessed with cryogenically reviving his deceased wife, Rachel. To aid in his bizarre, grief-driven experiments, he abducts the young couple. As the doctor's wife slowly revives, psychological mind games and manipulation unfold, heavily involving the intruders in the doctor's morbid fixation with the past.
